Deep Rock Galactic Survivor

At the time of me writing this Deep Rock Galactic Survivor a single player roguelike that is on sale for 9 dollars on steam and is “free” on game pass. To be upfront I am new to the rogue like genre but this game has me searching for more. The game starts you off feeling like you can win with just the skill you have and in some ways you actually can. You can’t make it to the end of the game with no upgrades at all per se, but with some games in this category it seems like skill doesn’t mean much and only upgrades do. Speaking of upgrades they actually do feel like they make a difference. When you upgrade that gun you can see the line of enemies be held back a little farther on your screen. You notice the main difference between skill and upgrades because of all the different maps and enemy types and challenges. It is a very good balance that the developers struck when crafting this game. I would highly recommend picking this game up to play in between your other games when you don’t know what to play. Play a game or two of this and you’ll be hooked for sure.
